After dropping off Taylor's sister in Barcelona, we headed north through Cardona to spend the night in Seu d'Orgell, just south of Andorra.
Next morning we drove through Andorra to rest just below the Cathar castle ruin of Peyrepertuse.
en route to Avignon, we stopped for a revisit in Sommieres...
...continuing on to Avignon, the Festival d'Avignon in full swing - here we found a cool freecamping spot right on the banks of the Rhone.
We then went a few kilometres north to Chateauneuf du Pape, picking up some wine at Mont Redon and staying the night at Chateau Maucoil.
Next we visited Garde Adhemar, a delightful intact medieval village perched on a hill overlooking the Rhone.
From Garde Adhemar we took the back road to Vaison la Romaine...
then next day headed north to Andance in a fruitless attempt to escape the oven-like heat that has marked this trip.
After a stop at the Mephisto outlet in Troyes, we slept in Piney, then headed up to Reims for lunch, freecamping next to the canal in charming Asfeld.
Next was a sprint into Belgium, staying in Bertem, basically a suburb of Leuven.
Returning to the Netherlands through the weird chaos of Baarle Nassau and Baarle Hertog,
we came to a peaceful rest in a tiny jachthaven at the junction of 2 canals.
From Jachthaven t'Stukske we revisited the marvelous Giethoorn.
Next day we travelled to Kees' place, stopping at a Frisian horse stable and crossing the Zuider Zee (IJsselmeer) via the Aufsluitsdijk.
After a visit to Haarlem for frites and Haarlem Culinair, Taylor and Odin flew back to Toronto, while Frank remained briefly visiting Medemblik and doing some repairs on the Hymer, with the assistance of Kees.
