Welcome to Our Travel Page!
We purchased our Winnebago Rialta in 2004, choosing the model for its compactness and for its Volkswagen mechanics. At the time, we told our dealer we would send it to Europe in 3 years; in June of 2007, 3 years later, we made a "snap decision" to do exactly that!
Use the links above to navigate to pages of interest - there's a bit of history (we've done this before), some information on the nuts & bolts of traveling in this fashion in Europe, a pictorial on the shipping process and finally a number of trip journal pages.
If you are interested in doing this sort of thing, everything you need to get started can be found here & in the pages, books etc. that I link to (especially see the "Nuts & Bolts" section). I get a lot of emails asking the same basic questions - I set up this site partly as a resource to answer those questions in one stroke. I'm happy to answer emails if your question is not answered within the site & the resources it references, but please read the site first!

The Jefferson CamperGuitar
I think I have found the perfect guitar for a motorhome, especially if it needs to be left therein year round as does mine. This is a Composite Acoustics Cargo - small, indestructible, and it sounds very good. In addition, no one wants to steal it, because those who don't know what it is (carbon fibre), think it is just a cheap "plastic" guitar.
